Being a Hooters Overachiever Pays Off

On Wednesday I was asked to be a part time manager at Hooters.  Apparently all that overachieving and generally being awesome got noticed after almost two years of hard work.  I start training next week with two days in the kitchen.  I'll officially be a Hooters Girl/bartender/trainer/manager.  I must be some kind of multitasking queen.  It will be interesting to see the restaurant from the other side of the uniform a couple days a week, but I'm not ready to leave the shorts behind quite yet.  It seems I've developed quite an attachment.

And corporate, if you're out there, I'm working my way up here!  Feel free to take about ten to twelve more looks at my resume if you have any openings in your marketing department because I'm pretty sure I'm turning into a Hooters lifer.  And I like it.

  3. Congratulations, Sauce! You represent everything that's best about Hooters, and are an example all against more negative things that are sometimes associated with, both fairly and unfairly. Hopefully you can keep that up in management, in which case everyone will be better off.

  4. But will being a manager effect your ability to blog (at least if you go through with the 1000 follower promise)? Anyway, congratulations!

  5. Considering corporate knows about my blog and actually likes it I don't think being a manager will affect my blogging. Especially because I probably won't do much blogging on the subject but rather stick to blogging about being a Hooters Girl.

Also, I've done my best to avoid sharing any "best practices" or really specific Hooters information to avoid saying too much. I'll continue to do so, so as to not overstep my blogging bounds.

  6. Congratulations! That's great news! I hope your training goes off without a hitch and that you enjoy Hooters as much from the "other side of the shorts" as you do now :-) Have fun!

  7. Congratulations. I love hearing about good work being rewarded and companies that promote from within. My local Hooter's must be struggling a little as there never seems to be enough girls working to allow them to interact very much with the customers
